Origin:
Chiff is a non-profit organisation that was started up on a private basis in Norway in March 2005. All the development so far is done with private finance and voluntary work from the founder.

Our Vision:
"By creating unique, adaptive and non-profitable products and services, develop a multicultural platform for a healthy and positive world."

Chiff wants to contribute to a better, safer and more healthy society. We want to fight some bad elements, and build many new and positive things.
Our belief is that knowledge is a necessity to improvement. We want basic knowledge material to be free, and thus easy available also for people in poor areas.
In cooperation with other organisations we want to put a critical focus on national and international politics.

Our Handout:
We have made a handout that we made a year ago that tells a little bit about our interests and intentions:
English Graphic version, inside of the folder: Page 2&3 (113k)

The Web pages:
The Page of Life will be a page for teens and adults, with information within most areas. Our goal, to contribute to a more healthy world, is reflected in the topics and our comments. We want to create one of the most interesting web portals available, and transfer into many languages.
We hope the site will be widely used, and we also hope that the users will help us to increase the quality, day by day. So far this is a privately financed project, so if anyone has a small or a big contribution we will appreciate it very much. About donations.
The Chiff page will be the Kids' web portal, with links to the most interesting web pages on internet for kids. Here too we will have a focus on positive elements like nature, future, positive habits etc. www.chiff.org is not available for the kids use yet, but it is possible to choose a kids link from the main page of The page of Life, to see a interesting selection of links for kids.
The QuickLearner page will be the next level after the QuickLearner poster. It will be free and focused on learning.

Educational Posters:
The intentions about the posters are to give knowledge and positive attitudes, in addition to creating curiosity and motivation for further learning. It is our hope as well that an adult uses at least 5 minutes daily together with the child to activate and to support the learning element.
On the poster we refer to www.quicklearner.org (and www.chiff.org). These web pages will follow up the elements of the poster.

With this poster the children will have the opportunity to learn numbers, letters, words, language, colours, shapes, sign alphabet, the clock, some proverbs in addition to general knowledge through questions and answers. And they can be inspired from and talk about the 52 different drawings/photos on the poster. There is also space for writing e.g. names and birthdays and to fill in a timetable for “historical” interest. (To see “what did I do in January 2006 when I got this poster”). At last you can find the names of many of the famous people with interest of the world history.

In parts of the world the posters will be sold/distributed as a non-profit product, in other parts as a commercial product. Humanitarian organisations are welcome to ask for copies at production cost.
The poster is made in English, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian and Norwegian, but so far we have only printed the Norwegian version.

I remember from when I was about 7 years old. I thought that the world was fantastic, and that everyone and everything was being taken very well care of. And that everything was very well organized in the community, and when there was a problem there was always going to be a very good solution.
But some times, when I thought the adults were stupid, I said to myself that I have to write this down, to remember it until I become an adult myself.
I didn't write it down, but it would have been very interesting to read today!
Later I realized that the world wasn't perfect, and the older that I have been, the more scared I have become. First when you see how things really are around the world, and when you get some experience about how people can think and act, you understand more about which challenges we have. Like everyone else, I have of course done a lot of errors and stupid things in my life too, and this is probably one of the reasons that I decided to make this web site. When you have a lot of experiences, both on good and on bad, you will normally manage to put things into the right perspectives.
Normally people don't have much time to do what they really want to do before they retire, and far too often they get health problems at that age. So I have decided to try to develop this page now, in the middle of my life, when I still have the memories from the childhood, when I have got a lot of experience during my life, and when I still have enough energy to fight the challenges that for sure will appear.
In my view our lives are by far too much exposed to things we don't want. First of all of marketing. Internet is a new media, but unfortunately a too big part of the web pages are based on selling you something. And not to forget the ads in the newspapers, and all the things you get into your mailbox.
I really hope this web site will add quality to everyone's life. And I really hope the users will give their feedback and help us to present the best things that the world and the web can offer.
