Advices about: Buying a car
We hope you will think about our vulnerable nature next time you buy a car,
and we recommend to keep clear of the cars that creates a lot of pollution.
There are some very interesting web pages available, and we highly recommend you
to visit them. Anyway we recommend you to think about some questions before
buying a new or old car:
Maybe I will manage with a smaller car?
Do I need 4WD and all the extras?
Why not look for a car using new technology like electric engine(s)?
Using the train and other communications are more relaxing and less dangerous.
Maybe I could drive to work together with someone else instead of buying a new
car?
The bigger the engine, the more pollution and greenhouse gas it produces!
In the future it will hopefully be more accepted to have a environmental
friendly car than a big and fancy car.

Some words about air pollution.
Air Pollution
|
The
Air Pollution Score reflects pollutants that cause health
problems and smog. The score is from 0 to 10, where 10
is best. The air pollutants
coming out of a vehicle's tailpipe are tightly controlled by
EPA's emissions regulations. Thanks to efforts from both EPA
(on the regulation side) and the automotive industry (on the
compliance side), today's
vehicles are significantly cleaner than in the past.
Technology advances such as catalytic converters, exhaust
gas recirculation and electronic fuel controls have made
tighter pollution control from vehicles possible. However,
emission levels will still vary between vehicles due to
differences in emissions standards. Emissions performance
should be an important environmental consideration when
buying a vehicle.
This chart shows the
expected amounts of emissions per mile at each score.

Advices about:
A Cleaner Nature
There is of course a lot of things we can do to take care of the nature,
but here we will give focus to the most important ones.
1. Don't be greedy and don't let marketing destroy our world. Don't buy things
that you don't need. Both Production and Transportation are big when it comes to
creating pollution in the world, and very often we get additional pollution when
we use and not at least throw away the used product. Buying things that other
people doesn't have creates envy, and the result is very often that it creates a
need in the others to buy things they could very well live without.
2. Buy local products. To support people in poverty areas we should rather
support via development projects than purchasing products to send around the
globe.
3. Buy environmentally friendly quality products. Why buy a car that
4. As far as we only have transportation solutions that creates a huge lot of
pollution we should be very critical about our traveling habits. Like for
holidays, work etc.
Did you know that a normal car produce xx tons of the greenhouse gas CO2 when
driving xxx kilometers? And that a car with a big V8 engine produce x times as
much? In addition to changing our climate the pollution from factories,
transportation etc give us health problems like cancer, allergies, asthma etc.
Seen from the nature's perspective transportation should be a lot more expensive
than it is today.
