Most people are very ok, but......

  General comment:
Most people are very ok, but......
People are very different. We have different experiences in most respects. Most of us have different parents, different rules to obey, different work, colleagues, homes, financial situation, weather, climate and so on. We come from different cultures, and we "fuel" our bodies and minds with different food & drinks, air quality, information input etc. There is a huge lot of elements that make us different. Even if we watch the same movie we will have different experiences with it. Our ears, eyes, brains etc will always catch the information in different ways. We make different associations, get different thoughts and make different conclusions on basis of the same information, and the friends that join us at the cinema will probably have influence on what we think through their comments.
In addition to this we will have different goals and different advisors.

This means that we rarely can predict with 100% security how a person will react in different situations. But on the basis of historical statistics we will be able to calculate average reaction patterns. Based on our own experiences and different statistics we can give some general advices to young people with less experience:

- Never trust a person you don't know.
- Take control of your own life. A lot of people, probably also very close to you, do things that your health and future will not benefit of. But remember that this doesn't mean that they want to harm you, maybe they just try to be too kind to you.
- In general people will make decisions that are good to them, not to you, neither to the community.
- Through discussions with people that are older than yourself you will be able to learn a lot of things.
- A lot of people and companies etc want your money.

Journalists?
Most journalists are very ok, but......
There are many journalists, with many types of objectives. Too often a journalist, or a newspaper etc write what they "hope" is the truth, or a story that is more or less made to sell as many newspapers as possible. How often haven't we seen war-type letters on the front page, and almost nothing about the samt topic inside the newspaper? Some types of Magazines, writing about people, are even worse.
Without journalism, and especially critical journalism the world would have been different, so there is no doubt they are important for the communities.
- Conclusion
Be aware, and double check information that is important for you if possible. Be critical, and don't support (buy) the ones that live on lies and exaggerations.
See general comment.

Researchers?
Most researchers are very ok, but......
Researchers are often connected to funding from a company, or they may have personal interests in getting the result they want to find. Some times products refer to research sources that are non-existing or "low quality". About research  it is very important that they use a method that gives reliable results. Very often there are more elements involved in daily life than the ones that are basis for the research.
Like in the daily life some people take the opposite point of view of others. In research it is of course interesting to check different options and possibilities, and like in most topics, it will be possible to view the results from many angles, depending what you want to find.
- Conclusion
Be critical to results of research. Does other researchers support the view?

Teachers & Parents?
Most teachers & parents are very ok, but......
Teachers have different skills within the different topics, and also different pedagogical skills. It can be a good idea to test the teacher's knowledge.
Like with other people, parents are very different. Sometimes they are right, sometimes they are wrong. One thing is for sure, parents have a lot more experience than children and teens, and they normally want to protect their kids. If you think your parents are unreasonable with you, you should discuss the topic with another adult that you trust. Very often, at least in the industrialized world, the parents are too occupied to take care of their kids in a good way. If this is the case, the parents will often make wrong decisions for their kids.

Encyclopedias?
Most encyclopedias are very ok, but......
We refer to the free encyclopedia Wikipedia in many places on our web pages. Because Wikipedia is a very good idea, it is free to use, and it have a huge lot of very good information. But with Wikipedia as with everything else; Don't swallow everything you read as the truth. There may be errors, and it is a consept based on input from a lot of people around the world. You may be an author there as well. And some times it is hard not to be at least a little bit subjective, right? Fortunately there are routines to secure the quality of the information, and if you find an error there are ways to tell about it. We hope that everyone that have something to contribute with to Wikipedia will do it, in any language. And the same with our pages of course.
When it comes to the more traditional encyclopedias the question is if they are recently updated, if they have national or political interests etc, but normally they should not have other interests than telling the true stories. Please tell us if you don't share this opinion with us!

You or me?
Most of us are very ok, but......
It will depend of your own knowledge if you are right or wrong. Knowledge is something very good and important, and it is almost free to get, free to have and free to use!
If you are not sure something is right or wrong, try to find out! Ask questions, double check what people tell you, and don't be assertive if you are not sure about the facts.
We would like to give correct advices, but we don't manage 100% either. An advice that suits in one setting may not suit in another etc. And a statistical fact or any other information can be used in many ways, misunderstood, and so on. When it comes to the links we connect you to through the Page of Life we are not able to control the information quality 100%, or at any time. We will try to find the best links possible, based on our own research and feedback from the users. Unfortunately we are not able to read the thoughts or know the objectives of the people that has written or made the information in the external links, but we promise to do as good as possible.

The Salesman & Marketing?
Some salesmen are very ok, but......
Unless you know the salesman and/or company very well, you should not trust him! And sometimes it is very difficult to say "no" if you know him. The main objective of >95% of the sales people and marketing is to sell as much as possible, independent of the customer's need for the products.
There is a huge lot of different sales situations, differing from culture to culture, person to person, but it is about the same, to sell, and to try to convince you to buy a product, even if it is not something you need.
In some situations the sales person may have very good intentions, but the company or product just isn't good enough. In other situations the company and products may be very good, but the salesman a person without the necessary skills and behaviour. Or you may be presented to a very ok looking product where everything is based on anything from burglery to other kinds of fraud.
Try to learn how to deal with sales people, try to find their intentions and way of thinking, their "secrets". Be a critical, but of course polite customer. We will try to help you to understand a salesman, or a businessman that wants to become successful. Here is an example on sales strategies:

Politicians?
Most politicians are very ok, but......
Normally Politicians are intelligent people, but they are in a very special situation. And of course, it depends on the type of political system in the country. Some have a lot of carisma, that can be misleading.
Very often the politicians depend of the votes from the people, and to get those they need to make promises, which can be very hard to fulfil. If they are elected to the government they normally have very good conditions for being politicians, and will do almost anything to continue being politicians. If they are not democratically elected, or if the country is corrupted, there is less reason to trust a politician. But as always, there are a lot of exceptions.
- Conclusion
Politics are in most communities too much show and lies, and the systems should be changed to the better. Unfortunately, you should take care of trusting a politician.
See general comment.

Governments?
Most governments are ok, but......
There is always a question like "What is right?". Governments, if they are good, have as the main goal to make a good community. Unfortunately, some governments and communities are corrupt, and they can never become good. Some goverments succeed, others not. And if they have success in one topic, they may not have in another. And we, as "customers", have different conception of the governments success regarding services, work etc. We also have governments in different levels, for example locally and nationally.
Be aware of what type of system rules your community, and what kind of people rule the goverment.
- Conclusion
Our opinion is that the governments, in general, doesn't manage to rule the communities good enough. There are big challenges, especially regarding the basic of our existence, the nature. Too much is ruled by market power and companies with 99% focus on earning money. Factual information from a government should be relyable, but be aware.....
